Karen has performed in international schools throughout China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Colombia, and Peru. Each highly interactive performance includes Karen’s unique sound effects and music played on saxophone, accordion, ocarina, recorder, nose flute, hulusi, and a variety of folk instruments from around the world.

Story themes include kindness, being a good neighbor, honesty, inclusion, making wise choices, and empathy.

Jewish Stories
Karen shares stories from her rich Jewish heritage, tales both old and new, many blended with her original music.
Her stories come from a variety of sources, including the Torah, Midrash, folktale traditions, her family, and her rich imagination.
All school programs can be adapted to include standards- or IB-based curricula. A follow-up guide of story sources and additional classroom activities is always included.
Karen’s performance style is both playful and serious. She animates different characters by adding sound effects and mixing in music she plays on the saxophone, recorder, hulusi, accordion, ocarina, and even the nose flute; plus a variety of folkloric instruments she has collected from around the world.
