Jewish Tales of Wonder, Wit, and Wisdom
Karen shares stories from her rich Jewish heritage, tales both old and new, many blended with her original music. Her stories come from a variety of sources, including the Torah, Midrash, folktale traditions, her family, and her rich imagination.
Karen’s performance style is both playful and serious. She animates different characters by adding sound effects and mixing in music she plays on the saxophone, recorder, hulusi, accordion, ocarina, and even the nose flute; plus a variety of folkloric instruments she has collected from around the world.
Karen can keep the attention of 2- to 102-year-olds . . .
kids, teenagers, moms and dads, and senior citizens.
